Releases of your software are represented as editions and supplements within Librarian.
An edition is a collection of specific folders and versions of documents that have been published with Librarian. You publish a release of your software to an edition.
Over time you may release patches to a particular release of your software. Librarian allows you to do this by publishing your patch as a supplement to an edition.
Librarian allows you to publish an edition and one or more of the supplements that it contains to a new edition. You can use this feature to consolidate a version of your software and one or more of the patches to it to a new release.
